Graham Nash, a British rock singer, was born on February 2, 1942, in Blackpool, Lancashire, England.

    • He grew up in the working-class area of Salford in Manchester and attended a state school there. Nash's musical future was determined in 1947 when he met Allan Clarke. Clarke and Nash were in the same class, became friends, and discovered a shared passion for music.

    The two boys sang in a choir together and formed their own duo called "Two Teens" in the mid-1950s. In 1960, Nash and Clarke joined the group "The Deltas," which was later renamed "The Hollies." Alongside Nash on rhythm guitar and some vocal duties, the band consisted of Eric Haydock on bass, Don Rathbone on drums, and Vic Steele on lead guitar.
