    • At a young age of 13, he joined the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a left-wing terrorist group, out of sympathy for Palestinian refugees. Kuntar actively participated in PFLP training exercises, expressing enjoyment in handling Kalashnikov rifles.
